1. Check you have A SIP Compatible PBX
First and foremost, you'll need a SIP compatible PBX, or a or a PBX adapted to SIP.
Some PBX systems support SIP out of the box, while others may need a line card or SIP Gateway adapter installed.

If you're not sure if your PBX will work, please contact us and we'd be happy to check for you.
2. Check you have suitable Internet Connection
You'll also need a Broadband connection with enough bandwidth to support the number of concurrent calls you'd like to make.
ADSL2 and NBN connections are suitable for most businesses.
As an indication, an ADSL2 connection is usually sufficient for about 10 concurrent calls.

Prior to Maxo, we were with Telstra business and the difference between the services is immense. Maxo has short wait times for service, more lines available for multiple calls, easy navigation to change how calls are routed and is very inexpensive compared to Telstra. MaxoTel are an outstanding telco provider. Sure, they are not a big Tier 1 provider but they provide good service and a wonderful platform that is leading in its class. Overall, I have been very happy with MaxoTel. The features of the online PABX are really comprehensive and easy to use. Phone routing, deskphone management, IVR and time switching are all really great features. I run a phone system with 70 extensions and a hundred or so phone numbers and there is rarely something that I cannot achieve with Maxo. Their support services are excellent. I've never had to wait more than a few seconds to get to an Australian human. They are super helpful and friendly and they all know what they're doing. Given a choice, I'd choose them again.
