Make sure before you start that you have an extension available on your account (my.maxo.com.au). To create an extension in your MaxoTel account, click on PBX Extensions, and then "Add Extension" (If you are using a SIP Trunking or Residential Account, click on SIP Trunks, and then "Add Extension"). When configuring the phone, you'll want to use the "Register Username" (not the shortened Extension Number) and the Password of the Extension you've created:
To configure an SPA525G to your MaxoTel account, first retrieve the IP Address so that you can log into the ‘Web Configuration’ via your computer. To do this, simply navigate through the menu to Network Status (Menu, Status, Network Status). Enter The IP Address into your web browser.
Once you are in the Web Configuration click on ‘Admin Login’ and then ‘Advanced’.
Across the top of the web browser, navigate to the ‘Ext 1’.
If you're using an SPA112, you'll instead choose 'Voice', then 'Line 1'.
Once you have saved the settings, you can refresh the ‘Extensions’ page of your MaxoTel Portal, to see if the device has registered. If you are still having issues, please give us a call on 1800 12 12 10.
