GrandStream GPX2140 Setup Guide
Make sure before you start that you have an extension open made through our website https://my.maxo.com.au/ if you are through our hosted PBX. To open an extension first you must login to your account and on the left hand side of the page a menu bar will appear. Select PBX Extensions or SIP Trunks, depending on your plan. Open up the tab and add your new extension.
To configure the Grand stream GPX2140 to your MaxoTel account, first retrieve the IP Address so that you can log into the ‘Web Configuration’ via your computer. To do this, Press the ‘OK’ button in the middle of the D-Pad then >system>Network>static IP. The IP Address should show up underneath the Static IP settings. Enter The IP Address into your web browser.
Once you are on the Web Configuration page enter the username and password. By default the username will be ‘admin’ and the Password will be ‘admin’.
Once you have successfully logged in, click on the Account tab> Account 1> General Settings. Here you will place your Extension number and password from the extension you previously made or your sip server address. (sip.maxo.com.au for Residential and Sip Trunk accounts, and pbx.maxo.com.au for Hosted PBX accounts) as the bellow screenshot shows:
Now go to sip settings>Basic settings then change the Register Expiration to 2.
Now that the lines have been configured, you will now want to set the time zone and time format, which can be done under the top ‘Settings’ tab, and then the ‘Time and Date’ button on the left.
