Using WiFi and Bluetooth on Yealink Phones

All Yealink handsets we supply are capable of Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. For the T5X series phones (T53W, T54W, etc.), these features are built in. On the T4X series (T42, T46, etc.), you'll need the appropriate USB adapter for either bluetooth or WiFi.

So we can provide accurate instructions, please select your phone model:


T42, T46, T48 and T53W WiFi and Bluetooth Setup

Connecting to a WiFi Network

Please note that due to possible WiFi interference, we recommend using an ethernet connection wherever possible.

To connect your Yealink phone to a WiFi network, first ensure you have the WiFi dongle connected to the phone's USB port (except T53W), then enable WiFi:

  1. Dismiss the Yealink WiFi Assistant notification (if shown)
  2. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Wi-Fi
  3. Select On from the Wi-Fi field.
  4. Select Save

Once enabled, you'll now need to connect to your network. This can be done in two ways:

Manual Configuration - enter your network password

  1. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Wi-Fi
  2. Select X Available Networks
  3. Highlight your wireless network, then choose Connect
  4. Enter your WiFi Password and choose OK

WPS Configuration - use the WPS feature on your router, if available

  1. Navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Wi-Fi
  2. Select WPS
  3. Select either WPS if your router uses a physical WPS button, or WPS-PIN if you enter a PIN number to connect
  4. Press the WPS button on the router to allow connection or enter the displayed WPS PIN into your router's web interface
  5. The phone will show Connect Success when it has completed WPS negotiation successfully.

Connecting to a Bluetooth Device

To connect your Yealink phone to a bluetooth device, for example a bluetooth headset, first ensure you have the the Bluetooth dongle connected to the phone's USB port (except T53W), then enable bluetooth:

  1. On the Yealink phone, navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Bluetooth
  2. Select On in the Bluetooth field.
  3. Select Save

Place the device you'd like to connect into pairing mode. You may need to consult your device's manual for instructions on doing this. Once pairing mode is enabled:

  1. On the Yealink phone, navigate to Menu > Settings > Basic > Bluetooth
  2. Select Scan
  3. Once your device appears in the list of available bluetooth devices, highlight it and choose Connect



T54W WiFi and Bluetooth Setup

Connecting to a WiFi Network

To connect your Yealink phone to a WiFi network, first enable WiFi:

  1. Dismiss the Yealink WiFi Assistant notification (if shown)

Connecting to a WiFi Network

  1. Dismiss the Yealink WiFi Assistant notification (if shown)
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen and select Settings
  3. Choose Wi-Fi from the Basic Settings area
  4. Select On from the Wi-Fi field.

Once enabled, you'll now need to connect to your network. This can be done in two ways:

Manual Configuration - enter your network password

  1. Tap your wireless network
  2. Enter your network password
  3. Tap Connect

WPS Configuration - use the WPS feature on your router, if available

  1. Tap the 3 dots at the top right
  2. Select either WPS if your router uses a physical WPS button, or WPS-PIN if you enter a PIN number to connect
  3. Press the WPS button on the router to allow connection or enter the displayed WPS PIN into your router's web interface
  4. The phone will show Connect Success when it has completed WPS negotiation successfully.

Connecting to a Bluetooth Device

To connect your Yealink phone to a bluetooth device, for example a bluetooth headset, first enable bluetooth:

  1. On the Yealink phone, swipe down from the top of the screen and choose Settings
  2. Choose Bluetooth from the Basic Settings area
  3. Select On from the Bluetooth field

Place the device you'd like to connect into pairing mode. You may need to consult your device's manual for instructions on doing this. Once pairing mode is enabled:

  1. Select the Scan button at the top right of the bluetooth window
  2. Once your device appears in the list of available bluetooth devices, highlight it and choose Connect
